Adult College Fees

Continuing education throughout your adult life can unlock a wealth of opportunities for you to discover and unlock hidden talents, develop your skills that can be used to improve your financial stability and social status. But, not many people are aware that they can access adult education courses for FREE, or by accessing an Advance Learner Loan. So let us show you what options are open to you.

All fees displayed on our courses are the maximum fees payable, if you have to pay.

On some courses there are discounts for learners aged 60 and over and to be eligible for funding and free courses, students need to meet Specific criteria apply and we will assess your eligibility for discounts and free courses when you come to enrol.

In some cases and if required, you may be asked to provide your Home Office Documentation to enable us to assess your eligibility.

Residency and eligibility rules are complex and we will confirm your free course status when you enrol. In addition, to have your fees removed, you may be required to show us proof of income or benefits.

Functional Skills

  • Entry Level 3 – Level 2 English
  • Entry Level 3 – Level 2 Maths

 ICT & Digital Skills

  • Entry Level 3 Essential Digital Skills
  • Level 1 Essential Digital Skills

Unemployed or on a low wage

If you are unemployed and in receipt of;

  • Universal Credit (UC)
  • Jobseekers Allowance (JSA)
  • Employment and Support Allowance (ESA), or
  • Other state benefits (please enquire)

Or, if you are employed/ self-employed and live in a London postcode and earn below £27,007.50 per year, or do not live in a London postcode and earn below £25,000 per year, you could be eligible to access these courses for FREE.

ESOL (dependent on residency status)

  • Pre-Entry – Level 2 Reading, writing, speaking, and listening

 Employability

  • Entry Level 3 Certificate in Employability Skills – Get That Job
  • Level 1 Award in Employability Skills – Social Media for Jobs Prospecting

Free Courses for Jobs

You could be eligible for a free, fully funded Level 3 course if you:

  • Live in England
  • Have lived in the UK/EU/EEA for at least 3 years and have an eligible Immigration Status (eligibility criteria applies)
  • Live in a London postcode and earn below £25,642.50 per year
  • Do not live in a London postcode and earn below £25,000 per year

or

  • Are unemployed and in receipt of Universal Credit (UC), Jobseekers Allowance (JSA) or Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)

If you do not meet the unemployed or earn below the amounts above you may be eligible if:

  • You have not achieved a first full L3 qualification or above (subject to L3 requirements)

You could access the following courses:

ICT & Digital Skills

  • Level 3 International Computer Driving Licence

Teaching Assistant

  • Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching & Learning (GLA postcodes only)

Early Years Practitioners

  • Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (Early Years Educator)

Education & Training

  • Level 3 Award in Education & Training (GLA postcodes Only)

Other Payment Options

Advanced Learner Loan

If you do not meet any of the previous eligibility criteria but need help to fund your course, you could be eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan if you:

  • Are aged 19 or older on the first day of starting their designated loans funded qualification
  • Studying with a provider situated in England, with a provider in receipt of a loan agreement from us
  • Studying one or more designated loans qualifications at levels 3, 4, 5, or 6

Please remember that with any loan it will need to be paid back. Advanced Learner Loans will be deducted from your wages once you earn over £27,295 or if at any point you earn over £524 a week or £2274 a month at any point in the year (e.g. if you work overtime. Payments will stop if your income falls below this figure.

Pay in Instalments

Instalments are available on courses with fees of £150 and over. Please ensure you read our Fee & College Information and contact us for more information and to arrange a payment plan.
