Who is BPT? A short film by Francis Lartey

We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Celebration of Learning event back in July 2024. If you were there, you might remember we ran into some technical difficulties while trying to screen a very special film created by one of our talented learners. Well, we’re excited to take this moment to finally present it to you!

The film was created by Francis Larety, a student in our Level 1 Video Production course, and it’s a beautiful reflection of his growth as a filmmaker. Under the guidance of our expert Video Production teacher, Matthew Hughes, Francis mastered key filmmaking principles—from nailing the perfect exposure and focus to experimenting with creative camera angles and depth to draw in the viewer. His thoughtful use of interview techniques also gives the film a deeply personal touch, bringing his subject’s story to life.

In this short but powerful film, Francis introduces us to Ben Triglia-Poulton (BTP). Through Ben’s own words, we dive into his journey in sports and how these experiences have shaped his outlook on life. He also opens up about his dreams for the future and offers insights on how to support others in similar situations.

So, without further ado, we’re proud to share Francis Larety’s work with you. Enjoy!
